What is clenched hands?

Clenched hands refer to a condition in which the fingers and hands are tightly closed into a tight fist. This can occur for a number of reasons, including stress, anxiety, trauma, or medical conditions such as Parkinson's disease or cerebral palsy. Clenched hands can also be a symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome, in which pressure on the median nerve in the wrist can cause numbness, tingling, or pain in the hands and fingers. Treatment for clenched hands may include physical therapy, medication, or surgery depending on the underlying cause. Simple relaxation techniques such as deep breathing exercises or meditation can also help to alleviate symptoms of clenched hands.
